Scholarships

Each year the Santa Maria/Lompoc Branch awards partial scholarships to deserving young people without regard to race, creed, or color. The amount and number of such award for specific years are contingent upon funds availability from fund raising activities.

Applicant must be a current verifiable member of the N.A.A.C.P.   Membership Application Page

Applicants must be students of Accredited High Schools who have graduated or will graduate in the year of the award.

Students must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and be dedicated to a career in a substantive field.

Students must also complete a personal essay of 300 minimum to a maximum of 500 words, and submit a letter of recommendation and an official transcript of grades.
